In collaboration with the local artisans of Grand-Bassam, this unique printed scarf
is made with the technique of the old reserve: Batik. We created our original
designs, from animals to symbols to print this lightweight, soft to the touch cotton
fabric, then dyed it a vibrant shade of yellow.
En collaboration avec les artisans locaux de Grand-Bassam, cette écharpe imprimée unique est réalisée avec la technique de la réserve ancienne : le Batik. Nous avons créé nos motifs originaux, des animaux aux symboles, pour imprimer ce tissu de coton léger et doux au toucher, puis nous l'avons teint dans une nuance vibrante de jaune.

We primarily source all of our fabrics locally, which means there is a more personal level of relationship within the supply chain, as well as maintaining jobs and prosperity in Côte d’Ivoire region. By using local cotton, we significantly reduce our CO2 emissions. Laurenceairline pieces are graphic and contemporary by combining different fabrics and cuts in the same piece. This piece is mixed with locally sourced cotton and GOTS certified organic cotton from CABES, a social enterprise based in Burkina Faso, supported by the Ethical Fashion Initiative.
